Building a Greener Virginia

From humble beginnings to industry leadership—our story is one of commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community partnership.

Our Story

From a Simple Idea to Regional Leader

U.S. United Waste Management began with a straightforward observation: Virginia businesses were sending far too much valuable material to landfills when those same materials could be processed and returned to the manufacturing supply chain. Our founder, having worked in industrial operations for over a decade, saw an opportunity to create something meaningful— a recycling partner that actually understood business needs while prioritizing environmental outcomes.

What started as a small collection operation serving a handful of warehouses in Henrico County has grown into a comprehensive recycling operation serving over 200 businesses across Central Virginia. In 2015, we opened our current 45,000-square-foot processing facility on Turner Road, enabling us to handle significantly larger volumes and more complex material streams.

Today, we process over 5,000 tons of recyclable materials annually, helping our clients divert nearly 90% of their waste from landfills while often generating revenue from materials that would otherwise cost money to dispose of.
